Environmental Site Assessment Phase 1
Description
MR Engineering Ltd. was retained by its client to conduct a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of a future potential multi-home residential property. An assessment was conducted to identify potential environmental risks associated with the property.
A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment is defined as a systematic qualitative process to assess the environmental condition of a site based on its historical and current use.
The scope of included reviewing records of the site history, visually inspection of the subject property, reviewing adjacent properties, reviewing the current use of the surrounding properties and any land use practices that may have impacted the environmental condition of the site, conducting interviews with persons of knowledge, contacting municipal and provincial agencies complete a written report detailing findings and the level of risk associated with the property.
